Hello {{first_name|Motivated and Miffed Community}},
You know whatβs frustrating?
Everyone keeps saying, βJust use AI to write faster.β
Cool. Love that for us.
But if the writing doesnβt sound like you, itβs basically useless. It reads like you hired a stranger to wear your name tag and freestyle your personality.

And hereβs the real problem: most people donβt actually have strong writing samples that sound like how they talk. They have:
half-finished notes
captions written in a rush
βprofessionalβ drafts that donβt feel like them
and maybe one decent paragraph buried in a Google Doc from 2021
So when you feed that into an AI tool and ask it to βmatch your voice,β it does its bestβ¦ but itβs matching the wrong input.

The workaround that finally clicked for me

Instead of trying to build my brand voice from old writing, I started building it from my actual voice.
I use personally use AudioPen like a bridge between how I speak and how I want my writing to feel.
Hereβs what that looks like in real life:
Iβll be driving between stops, walking into a meeting, or in that weird 10-minute gap where I should be doing something but my brain is buffering.
An idea hits. I open AudioPen and just talk it out like Iβm explaining it to a friend.
Not a script. Not a polished draft. Just me, out loud.
AudioPen cleans it up by removing the βuh,β the doubled-back sentences, the rambling side questsβ¦ but if I keep the rewrite settings low, it still keeps the rhythm and phrasing close to how I naturally speak.
That becomes my writing sample.
Not βperfect writing.β Accurate writing. The kind that actually sounds like me.
Why this matters (especially if youβre building a brand)

Once I have a few of those clean, voice-accurate entries, I can use them as:
caption starters
newsletter paragraphs
website copy drafts
or reference material for other tools to match my tone
Instead of fighting to βsound like myself,β Iβm starting from myself.
π Thatβs All
If you want to see the simple pipeline I use (AudioPen β clean voice samples β reusable brand voice bank), just reply to this email with the word PIPELINE and Iβll send it.
