Hello {{first_name|Motivated and Miffed Community}},

You know whatโ€™s frustrating?

Everyone keeps saying, โ€œJust use AI to write faster.โ€

Cool. Love that for us.

But if the writing doesnโ€™t sound like you, itโ€™s basically useless. It reads like you hired a stranger to wear your name tag and freestyle your personality.

And hereโ€™s the real problem: most people donโ€™t actually have strong writing samples that sound like how they talk. They have:

  • half-finished notes

  • captions written in a rush

  • โ€œprofessionalโ€ drafts that donโ€™t feel like them

  • and maybe one decent paragraph buried in a Google Doc from 2021

So when you feed that into an AI tool and ask it to โ€œmatch your voice,โ€ it does its bestโ€ฆ but itโ€™s matching the wrong input.

The workaround that finally clicked for me

Instead of trying to build my brand voice from old writing, I started building it from my actual voice.

I use personally use AudioPen like a bridge between how I speak and how I want my writing to feel.

Hereโ€™s what that looks like in real life:

Iโ€™ll be driving between stops, walking into a meeting, or in that weird 10-minute gap where I should be doing something but my brain is buffering.

An idea hits. I open AudioPen and just talk it out like Iโ€™m explaining it to a friend.

Not a script. Not a polished draft. Just me, out loud.

AudioPen cleans it up by removing the โ€œuh,โ€ the doubled-back sentences, the rambling side questsโ€ฆ but if I keep the rewrite settings low, it still keeps the rhythm and phrasing close to how I naturally speak.

That becomes my writing sample.

Not โ€œperfect writing.โ€ Accurate writing. The kind that actually sounds like me.

Why this matters (especially if youโ€™re building a brand)

Once I have a few of those clean, voice-accurate entries, I can use them as:

  • caption starters

  • newsletter paragraphs

  • website copy drafts

  • or reference material for other tools to match my tone

Instead of fighting to โ€œsound like myself,โ€ Iโ€™m starting from myself.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Thatโ€™s All

If you want to see the simple pipeline I use (AudioPen โ†’ clean voice samples โ†’ reusable brand voice bank), just reply to this email with the word PIPELINE and Iโ€™ll send it.

Stay MOTIVATED,

Gio
